Every now and again I see a verse in the Bible I haven't noticed before.
I believe in the importance of praise in private and corporate prayer, even more than I appreciate contemplative and silent prayer. When we praise God we are joining in with thousands around the world who are praising God too. More than that, we are joining in with the praises of those who have gone before us, and are praising God in heaven.
But this verse surprised me:
Zephaniah 3:17
The Lord, your God, is in your midst, a warrior who gives victory;
he will rejoice over you with gladness, he will renew you in his love;
he will exult over you with loud singing
"He will exult over you with loud singing."
Wow!
God sings praise to us. Never looked at it that way before.
