Recently I found the most exciting thing! I found a Scrapstore very near to me. This is a local project which is run partly to help mental health clients learn skills to get back into work, but also it acts as a local resource. Basically as an individual to pay £15 a year registration and then you are able to take things for free from the warehouse. They also have memberships for groups and schools.

They have almost everything I could possibly want to do some craft work. Cardboard, paper, fabric, buttons, beads, zips, interfacing, wool, the insides of loo-rolls etc etc. The first time I went I came away with a bag full of fabric and a few buttons to make Christmas presents and today I have been back to find something suitable to use for making paper patterns. I decided a roll of new wallpaper was perfect for this.

If you are into craft it is well worth googling "Scrapstore" and see if you come up with anything near you. It's very exciting, and it is a bit like an Aladdin's Cave. If you go with an idea in your head of what you want to find you almost certainly won't find it. But, if you can go without any expectations you will come away with lots of stuff to be creative with.
