This is the Gospel according to Anna.
As many of my esteemed readers will know this weekend has been spent visiting my boyfriend's (OK, i am still trying to get used to that phrase!) family. It was his Dad's birthday and therefore we made a pilgrimage to visit. I suspect that there will be several other blogs also detailing the weekends events. I would like to say that any pictures posted by the other people involved are highly suspect... please be warned! The weekend was rather like a mini-wib-meet as there were four bloggers present!
Anyway, SBW arrived at my place on Friday evening and then on Saturday we drove up to his parents' house. Admittedly we did leave a bit later than planned, but the main problem came with relying on SBW for directions!! He claims that his sense of direction is appalling due to the fact that he does not drive and therefore he is chauffeured everywhere. Somehow, and it is not in my nature to apportion blame, we ended up going in a rather roundabout way to get to our destination and subsequently sitting in a queue of traffic at some roadworks. I cannot blame SBW entirely for the fact that we were late, but his severe inability to give directions had some part to play for our lateness. Instead of it taking just under an hour to get to his parents, it took us just over two hours. Poor SBW got the piss seriously ripped out of him by the rest of his family, something which i feel was most unfair, but of course I joined in.
So, yesterday evening we went out for dinner with the parents, grandpa and SBW's sister and brother-in-law (aforementioned bloggers). Good food, good company and often bizarre conversation. I guess i wouldn't have expected anything else!!
