In Guernsey we have this fabulous 5 week event in October - November called Tennerfest where lots of island restaurants offer fixed priced menus. Originally they were all meant to be £10 a head but this has changed slightly and some of them are a bit more expensive. Tonight The Mister, my sister and I went to Cobo Bay Hotel for dinner and it cost £20 a head and was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately my brother-in-law couldn't come as he was poorly. As we were leaving we briefly gazed over the sea wall to see how high the tide was. There has been quite substantial damage to parts of the coast road over the last two days - high tides, combined with high winds have eroded some of the sea wall and road.There are some pictures here which are quite dramatic.
