2012 Project365 (Day 255)

Today was the Guernsey Battle of Britain Airshow (although I think they have lost the Battle of Britain title). Last year one of the deals about coming back to Guernsey was that we had to be back in time to watch the Red Arrows. We were definitely back in time, unfortunately the fog didn't get the memo and most of the airshow was cancelled.
Luckily The Mister is working a night shift tonight and I was able to take a long lunch hour. We sat and ate our sandwiches and watched the planes fly over what truly is the most dramatic backdrop for an airshow. I don't think you can beat the setting for this airshow.
The Mister took lots of photos, but this was the one that stood out to me. I think it is the Spitfire and the Lancaster flying over the Condor fast ferry with Herm in the background. A wonderful scene of some of the old and the new modes of transport that we see on this little island.
