The Mister and I went on honeymoon to St Ives. We had a blissful week of doing very little except walking, sleeping, eating and visiting tourist attractions and shops.
St Ives is well known for having plenty of art galleries and one of the things we wanted to do is buy a couple of original paintings. We thought it would be a nice use of the money The Mister's Mum had given us for a wedding present.
This oil painting of an owl was the one that The Mister chose. I have to say over time I have grown to really like it, but it definitely took a while. I love the texture and that it looks as though the bird has been out hunting all night and is having a rest before heading out again. Most of all, it makes me think about the lovely time we had on honeymoon!
