Vintage funTuesday was a day of massively mixed emotions. In the morning we found out that the house we have put an offer in for was accepted. Hopefully we should complete by 14 of June which would be amazing! The afternoon was traumatic, but I can't be bothered to go into that right now! In the evening The Mister and I went to the Specsavers Hangar Ball. In the afternoon they hold a Tea Dance in the same venue for the OAPs on the island. The ball was amazing - the hall had been decked out with vintage style advertising and covered in red, white and blue decorations, they even had a parachuting man hanging from the ceiling. The entertainment was a fantastic big band and some singers, one who sounded just like Frank Sinatra. They also had magicians and a brilliant balloon modeller. The Mister dressed in RAF uniform and looked especially dashing and I wore a tea dress with Grandma Mary's fur coat! It was just a fantastic evening out and the best bit was seeing everyone dressed up in 1940's style clothing. Everyone made the effort and seeing all these people dancing just added to the atmosphere. Superb entertainment and a brilliant night out!
