Well, a very poor showing on the book front this month. It is very obvious that I am not doing nearly so much commuting these days...

The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society by Mary Ann Schaffer and Annie Barrows. This was a re-read of this book and I love the story although I don't think it is the greatest writing ever. This book is exciting though as obviously it is set in Guernsey and the film is due to be made this year starring Kate Winslet as Juliet. There has been a lot about it in the local papers as there were suggestion that it wouldn't been filmed on the island. As expected there were a lot of complaints about this, and at least part of it will be filmed over here. I look forward to see what they so with the story, but expect the island to be flooded with American tourists!

The Distant Hours by Kate Morton. Not a bad book but not a patch on her first novel The Forgotten Garden!
