This is Hester the Hippo; my favourite ever soft toy. I didn't really get her until I was in my early teens (I think) and she was delivered via Father Christmas. This toy has been my favourite for many years because it is lovely to sleep with! I used to curl up around it and for some reason I found it very comforting. I can usually tell when my niece and nephew have been visiting as Hester has often been removed from her usual spot. Hester used to look much more stoned, like she had been smoking vast amounts of cannabis. This was mainly because the eyelids used to cover most of the eyes, but the felt has worn away. She now looks like she has had a rather bad eye lift.
