Well, all things considered I am having a really nice time at home. Yesterday was especially lovely and being at home is truly therapeutic, not because there is anything major I need to do, but it is being with my family that is making the difference. Being part of a large, close family is nice. It has its trying moments too but there is nothing that compares to being with family when you know that there are other people who are dealing with the same issues. Sharing those moments when you feel like the shit is hitting the fan, as well as being able to share stories and experiences. Those are all things that matter.

Yesterday I went up to Gran's house and took a load of photos as I suddenly realised that the next time I come home the house might no longer be in our possession. So, I took photos of anything and everything, even the little bits that seem a bit silly. I adore Gran's house and it has been the meeting place of the family for as long as I can remember. Her house sits on a hill overlooking the sea and I have fond memories of my Grandpa sitting on the wall wearing his old hat watching his grandchildren swimming off the rocks in the gully at the bottom of the hill. The garden was awesome for playing in and the whole property was a dream setting for Hide and Seek. Apparently two of my older cousins went up to the house a couple of days ago and took a video... I think I might ask for a copy of it as I suspect it is pretty amusing. Memories in pictures... they have to be worth having :)

After lunch my cousin and her two children arrived at Mum and Dad's house as they were out for a walk so my Mum, my aunt and I joined them.... then two of the other aunts also arrived... so once again it was a mammoth expedition. We walked up to the woods near us and took loads of photos and then down across the beach before stopping at the tea room for a little refreshment. It was an absolutely gorgeous day... felt more like May than February. Gorgeous... as you can see in the pics.

So, being at home is doing me good. I have an amazing family (even if they drive me insane sometimes!) and I am very, very privileged.

A final picture of me, , my mum, my aunts, my cousin and her children... what a good looking bunch we are!!
