Time for a super fluffy book called Hoping for Hope by Lucy Clare. This book is about a nearly-fifty year old woman who finds out she is six months pregnant. There are several problems for her; not only her age but also the fact that she hasn't been having sex with her husband for five years and the baby is a product of a rather steamy affair with a toy-boy.

This book was an 'OK' read. There were some quite funny moments when her inconsiderate older children find out she has had a baby, but over all the characters were rather shallow and one-dimensional. There were some classic stereotypes, most notably that of the lesbian aunt who lives with her cantankerous partner and a whole load of cats. It was 'brain-chewing-gum'... not exactly a memorable book but it took my mind of work when I should have been working.

As the book cost me 10p from the charity shop it wasn't exactly budget busting... think it will be going straight back from whence it came :)
