The Good Wife by Elizabeth Buchan is a really sweet little book, which rather surprised me. It is about Fanny Savage, the hard done by politician's wife who has to put up with an awful lot; a husband who is married to his job, a sister-in-law who is an old lush, a family, and the pressures put on her to conform to the social norms.This book is about her struggles to maintain her own identity whilst being swallowed up by her family. Nice little read.
