Well, I hope no one else has had a weekend like mine!

Firstly, I have a really bad cold - the sreaming, sneezing, feeling awful, run out of tissues kind!

Secondly, driving into the local town yesterday I was hit by someone running into the back of me at traffic lights - Nice bend in back bumper, but no real harm done - the Artimobile is hardly in pristine condition anyway - everything still works including Arti!

Thirdly I parked my car in the drive outside my flats. When I went to put the car away in the garage someone else had driven into it - result extremely battered and dented passenger door and broken quarter light! They've gone off without leaving a note or anything so I don't know who did it.

The police won't take a report of it. Apparently, as its not an attempted break-in it doesn't count as criminal damage. It would count as the road traffic offence of "failing to stop" but as it didn't happen on the public highway, it doesn't.

This morning I took my car to Auto**ass to get the quarter light repaired. They dont have the right glass in stock but a technician will call me this evening to arrange to fit a perspex window as a temporary measure.

Technician phones this evening. There's no way they can actually fit perspex because my car has the "wrong sort of window" and there is nothing they can do tonight because they have to get the glass from Nottingham and so won't have it until Tuesday - oh and it all comes at the bargain price of £137

Now I need my car to work and as I am now freelance, if I don't work, I don't get paid! So I've had to hire a car for 2 days (which my friend had kindly offered to pay for).

I also have to get a taxi to my counselling session first thing tomorrow morning as I can't get the hire car until 11.00am.

I then have to decide whether to get a new car door ( the amount of paint loss will mean it will rust quickly if I leave it) or cut my losses (the car only cost me £650 a few years ago) and buy a whole new car - especially as I know the car is likely to need some welding work before it next has an MOT anyway!

By the way - thank you to everyone who responded to my previous post and prayed. The tensions that were getting to me then have largely dissipated! Only to be replaced by.......!

No seriously - there has been a positive side to this weekend aas well. I'll blog some more about that when I have a bit more time - right now I'm off to dose myself up with "cold-killer" and get some sleep.

Goodnight!
